To provide professional quality training in dance and the performing arts to the community, with biblical discipleship, for free, resulting in a facility where gifts and talents can be developed the way God intended them.

Rock Steady Ministries first began in December of 2006, with a vision of taking professional dancers and utilizing their God given gifts to impact people for Christ. The vision was short lived however, and RSM found itself searching for a much bigger purpose. A small class began at the former Lord's Fitness Center combining a hip hop instructional class with a small group bible study. The class started very slowly, sometimes with only a couple people showing up.

Very soon however, many individuals who had been praying that God would provide some atmosphere to combine their two greatest passions, God and dance, would find RSM and begin a whole new era of discipleship and dance training in their lives. Now, an average of 30 people each Monday night are instructed with professional quality hip hop dance and are given hard core in depth biblical instruction, discipling all of our attendees.

Since then, Rock Steady Ministries has ministered through dance and testimonies to high schools, youth groups, church services, master classes, secular community events, and various outreach events throughout the city of San Diego. An estimated 20,000 people have seen RSM’s professional standard in dance and have heard the testimonies of its members of God’s grace and salvation.

But that’s only the beginning...

Through private donors and investments, RSM hopes to acquire a facility in which the community can come and receive professional training that would normally costs families in excess of $20,000 annually.

This facility will provide a way out of gangs, drugs and hopelessness by providing constant biblical discipleship everyday of the week, and the tools necessary for a career in the Performing Arts.
